Backyard Rule’s Homeschool Hitters is a fun, safe, and engaging baseball and softball program designed specifically for homeschool students in grades 1–5. Whether your child is brand new to the game or already loves swinging a bat, Homeschool Hitters welcomes all skill levels and focuses on building confidence, coordination, and a love for sports.
Classes are held at Ron Parker Park in St. Augustine, Florida on Mondays from 10:00–11:30 a.m., making it a perfect addition to your homeschool schedule. To ensure a safe and positive experience, all bats and balls are provided and are made from lightweight and soft materials, allowing kids to fearlessly learn proper catching, throwing, and hitting techniques.
Our experienced instructors offer excellent instruction in both baseball and softball fundamentals, including throwing, catching, hitting, base running, and basic game awareness. While sport-specific skills are taught, the program also emphasizes overall athletic development, helping children improve balance, hand-eye coordination, agility, and teamwork—skills that carry over into any sport or physical activity.
At Backyard Rules, we believe character matters just as much as competition. Homeschool Hitters places a strong emphasis on sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, and encouragement, creating an environment where kids can grow socially as well as physically.
Sibling discounts are available, making it easier for multiple children to participate. Homeschool Hitters is more than just a baseball program—it’s a positive, active community where kids learn, play, and thrive!
