Hello everyone and thank you for taking the time to review our program! In 2015 I launched Backyard Rule with the goal of sharing my love for the game with others. I am so thankful for the incredible support this community has shown us with their participation in our summer camps, after-school programs, and other events.
I believe our value goes far beyond teaching fundamental skills. Encouraging a child to get back up and try again, recognizing sportsmanship and fair play, and fostering a healthy attitude are at the core of Backyard Rule. Yes, your student will learn how to throw, hit, and catch, but the real takeaway from this program can be summed up in one word: FUN!
I’m very proud that our program has earned a reputation for being welcoming and inclusive for all types of players, from beginners to advanced. We strive to strike a balance between healthy competition and a true developmental experience, rather than a win-at-all-costs mindset. We believe the best kind of victory is an undisputed one—earned honestly, without the need to argue or bend the rules. These are the kinds of lessons we aim to teach our participants at a young age, helping to build a strong foundation of character as they grow into young adulthood.
