Tournament details:
Pitch speed is slow so the game has more hitting and fielding. We do run the bases, and fielders throw grounders to the pitcher for the force at 1B (pitchers poison). We play three inning games, and all teams are guaranteed a minimum of three games. Our tournament format usually begins as a 4 team round robin on each field. Then the top two teams from each field move onto a single elimination playoff. Depending on the size of the event (and how far your team goes) tournaments last 2 - 3 hours. No metal cleats (molded are ok but gym shoes are suggested). There is no cash prize.. Mostly we play for pride, bragging rights and glory. To all the trophy seekers out there; there are some handouts to the winners and ALL participants are rewarded with a one of a kind experience.
